Facilities Renovation Technician Lead – 1st Shift

Position Overview

Position Overview:

Exciting growth opportunity to lead the Facility Renovation Crew in a newly organized effort to enhance the associate experience within manufacturing facilities. This position will require organizing and leading the demolition, installation, and maintenance of a variety of facility spaces. All work must be completed in a customer-focused, cost-effective, safe, efficient, and sustainable manner. Effective communication with all levels of the organization will be imperative in maintaining positive attitudes and relationships with customers (affected facility occupants). The shift will generally be 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. but flexible as required; plus overtime as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain professional work ethic in all situations.

  • Maintain a safe work environment in all situations.

  • Successfully lead a team through all stages of a project.

  • Train and support all team roles and functions.

  • Work from electrical and mechanical drawings/schematics.

  • Work with Windows-based OS.

  • Prepare routine checklists and other required paperwork.

  • Ensure completion of all housekeeping requirements.

  • Perform other duties as required or requested.

Required Skills:

  • Must be capable of building and leading an organized team.

  • Must be capable of working autonomously.

  • Must have thorough understanding and working knowledge of general construction and renovation principles.

  • Must have experience working with construction and demolition equipment.

  • Must be knowledgeable in the principles and techniques commonly used in the industrial field, to include; HVAC systems, lighting, security and fire protection systems.

  • Must have proficient working knowledge of general facility electrical, mechanical and control systems.

  • Utilize electrical and mechanical knowledge to lead and develop team skills while exercising caution to ensure safety is NEVER compromised.

  • History of receiving and interpreting verbal and/or written instructions proficiently.

  • Maintain work area in a clean, neat, and orderly manner.

  • Excellent attendance record, safety record, and no written warnings.

  • 3+ years mechanical/electrical experience in manufacturing or comparable setting

  • Must have working experience running windows OS and working with general word processing and spreadsheet software.

  • High school diploma/GED
