We are currently seeking a concrete tech in the Tampa Bay area
This compnay has a need for a concrete tech to support a project in Apollo Beach.
They are doing concrete rehab- corrosion repair and epoxy grout replacement.
The phase of the project this concrete tech will be supporting consists of pouring the deck floor, walls, columns and beams.
The total replacement of a 19 foot wide section.
These carpenters will be building forms, along with the support of 2 carpenter helpers.
They will also be responsible for other construction related tasks.
This project will last at least 4 months.
If performance is strong, they will move carpenters around to other projects.
They are very busy and always looking to hold onto good carpenters.
Outside construction environment, working on a deck.
Their culture is built on a high importance for safety and quality work.
They will report to a site foreman and have some support from construction labor (crews consist of a carpenter and 2 skilled laborers).
Most weeks are 40 hours, but some overtime may be offered periodically.
M-F from 7AM- 5:30PM.
Saturdays are optional- there may be overtime depending on the deadline of the project and how far along they are.
Must have at least 3 years rough carpentry experience, building formwork for columns and beams. (Pour concrete and tie rebar).
Must be able to read a tape measure
Must have their own basic hand tools (chipping hammer, grinders, tape, level, square, wrenches, pliers, and any other tools are a plus).
Must have a positive attitude and understand the importance of safety.
Must be able to begin building forms on day one.
They will be measured on their pace and the quality of their work.
